Week in our lives!

So this week had been interesting to say the least!
Sunday I took Butterbean to the movies to see "Gnomeo and Juliet"
She did ok for the first hour or so..then it got crazy! She was just really really tired..so we left before the movie ended. She was so tired that she fell asleep before we even left the parking garage!

Then Monday, we went to the Roos'N"More zoo with our friends Leslie and Jasmine! So much fun!
If  you haven't been there you should definitely go! You can touch or hold every single animal there! EVERY animal! There are camels, otters, lemurs, kangaroos, turtles, monkeys (you can see one on my head top left), all kinds of stuff. From Vegas, it takes about 45 minutes to get there. So worth it!! Exit 90 :)

Tuesday Butterbean had tumbling. Then we came home and had a picnic on the living room floor.
Wednesday Butterbean had a doctors appointment. And then we went to a playdate at the park to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. She fell asleep holding a Trix Rice crispy ball :P
Thursday we went to another playdate, at one of the mommy's houses. Then we went to STEAK'N'SHAKE!!! Oh I was soooo excited!! They're back home..and they are delicious!!
And today we didn't really do anything..we went to lunch with daddy and then to Borders because they were going out of business. I finally cleaned for the first time in 2 weeks...being sick sucked.

We also found out some INSANE news this week but I am going to keep it to myself for a little while.
Well I'm off to bed. super tired. byee

Loaded Bake Potato Soup in the Crockpot

So so yummy and very simple to make! I don't remember where I found this recipe, but it's online somewhere!

Ingredients:
  • 6 cups of potatoes, cubed
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/2 stick of butter (1/4 cup)
  • 1 qt. chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup half and half (added an extra 1/2 cup because I like it creamy)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar, shredded (added an extra 1/2 cup)
Optional toppings:
  • sour cream
  • chives
  • crumbled bacon
  • more cheese

  • Add the potatoes, onion, broth, butter and salt and pepper to the crockpot
  • Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8
  • Add the half and half and cheese
  • It is ready to serve after warmed through and cheese has melted
  • Serve!  add toppings of your liking :)
I served this with rolls for dipping! mmmm!

Week of news :)

So this week has been extremely busy! I have been working nonstop with Well Rounded Momma (Naomi mostly) trying to get donations for the birthing kits for Craft Hope..but I'll talk more about that in my next post!

On Tuesday, Butterbean had her regular tumbling class then Steven and I celebrated our "Valentine's Day"..we dropped Butterbean off at her Nana's and just hung out together all day. We went to lunch and went to the mall to walk around. We went and saw a movie [the Mechanic, ABSOLUTELY BADASS!]..a great day! At the mall we got Butterbean 2 huge gummy bears and a container of cotton candy [great parents right :P]!
Waiting for tumbling to start with her bff :)

her huge gummy bears and cotton candy!!

She carried them around everywhere! Still hasn't eaten them tho..I'm waiting for the right moment :P

Wednesday was a pretty busy day for us! We went to the doc for another vaccine at 830. I saw a friend I haven't seen since Elementary School!! So crazy! Strange coincidence lol. Butterbean has gained no weight in 4 weeks...but she did grow almost 1/2 inch! No wonder her pants "shrank". After that we drove allllll the way across town to Well Rounded Momma to pick up donations. Afterwards, I decided we were close enough to where Slidertruck was going to be so we went over there for lunch and went to the park!

The second picture is of her sleeping obviously but she fell asleep while eating chips haha one hand is in the bag and the other is holding a handful of chips haha
I also made dinner! I made Loaded Bake Potato soup in the crock pot! Sooo yummy!!
mmmmmmmmm!
and lime pie..but that was NOT so yummy lol

Thursday I spend the whole day sewing Tote bags for Craft Hope's project..more on that in the next post..
Friday I did the same as Thursday..
And then there was today! [Saturday] So far all we've done today is go pick up our basket and go drop a basket off at Nana's. Butterbean is currently NAPPING!! in her toddler bed :) yeah I FINALLY  got her to nap!
This morning when I left it was raining and FREEZING!
So cold in fact that there is now snow on the mountains!

Here's our Bountiful Basket!
Fruits: Strawberries, Naval Oranges, Mangoes, Apples, Bananas, Cantaloupe, and mini pears!
Veggies: Sunchokes, Squash, MORE Potatoes, Cabbage, and Spinach!
And here's the pretty girl in her carseat with her baby in her "carseat"
haha

Anyways I'm off to make a dinner sched for this week! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wild Wednesday..

Today was sooo crazy. Starting off at 7 all the way to bed time. Butterbean woke up on the WRONG side of bed this morning. Not in a good mood. I'm thinking her bottom k9s are coming in..whatever it was I think this was the worst she has ever acted. Kicking me, smacking me, throwing crazy fits, screaming..oh man. Sooo to get her distracted and semi-happy we went for a walk to the mailbox with her baby and new stroller.

She had fun I think..although she did throw a few fits along the walk it was pretty painless. After our walk we had to go to the store so I could get a few things for dinner at our friends house. I decided to go with a pot roast..I wish I would have taken pictures before it was completely devoured! O.M.G. Soooo amazingly good! I also made homemade mash potatoes because Danny, our friend, wanted to make boxed.ew. so I said no and made GOOD mashed potatoes. I was supposed to bring a salad but forgot. Ugh! anyways dinner was fun. Butterbean fell deeply in love with Danny...
They got along pretty well :)

Anyways today was absolutely crazy with my wild child but it was a good day. Now I am completely exhausted and sore from a good workout! Hoping Butterbean will sleep good tonight!!
Night!

I'm quite excited about becoming a good homemaker! This week so far I have made spaghetti, chicken and asparagus, homemade pizza, and lasagna! I'd say I did pretty good! :)

Anyways..tomorrow is the Superbowl! I am not happy about the Bears not playing but we are still going to enjoy the day with friends! We're going to go hang out with my favorite mommy, Leslie and Sophia's best friend, Lo. :) I am so excited! We only see them on Tuesdays at tumbling. If we lived closer to them we would hang out all the time! Anyways, so that should be fun! We are also going to buy new phones tomorrow! :) which I am even more excited about because I have gone a week without my phone! sooo sad!
anyways..its getting late and I NEED sleep! so G'Nite!

a great end to a great day!

I had a fantastic work out today with my favorite cousin and a mommy friend. I swear I am loving this working out thing. I feel so energized!!
Anyways today Butterbean was just overly cute, too cute in fact to pass up on a million and one pictures. All day long all she wanted to do was hug and kiss me. I loved every moment of it!!! She is a lovey dovey little girl but today was extreme! :)
Here are some pictures from today...

Her favorite blankie..she will NOT go to sleep without it. She drags it everywhere! lol

giving her kitty loves
seriously, can she get any cuter?!?! I think not!

such a good little mommy..cooking and holding her baby just like momma

She absolutely makes my heart just feel so full and happy! :) How it's possible to be so in love, is beyond me.

For dinner, I made lasagna! It was amazing! I am absolutely surprising myself with these cooking skills! man! :) I wish I would have taken a picture because it looked like heaven and tasted even better! :)
After dinner, like every night, was BATH TIME! Her favorite part of the day! She is such a fish! She loves putting her head and face into the running water and then after the water is turned off, she lays down and "swims"! so funny! I love when she blows bubbles, too. She is definitely ready for summer! I can't wait to take her in the pool!
Anyways, here are a few pictures of bath time ..

Our great day ended with a great night. Story time with no nursing, which is a first! a little girl went to bed with ease! So lucky to have her! so so so so so lucky!
Good night!

Pizza Night!!

Today Butterbean and I spent all day together. watching movies and eating :)
for lunch we both had a turkey and provolone sandwich, blueberries, half an orange, cauliflower and red pepper hummus! mmmmm!! she ate ALL of it!! good girl :)

She is just too cute! We have built a fort every day this week and she just loves it! I do too. It's fun seeing her so excited about something so simple.

Tonight for dinner I made homemade pizza with homemade sauce!
Absolutely delish!!! mmmmm! We ate every last bit of it!
I found the sauce recipe on Our Best Bites. I have to say that this is the BEST sauce I have EVER had! I am extremely picky about pizza sauce and this has topped all others! I did make a few LITTLE modifications to it but it was simple things like, a little extra or less of something here and there. I highly recommend it!!
The dough, I'm not quite sure where I found it but it too was amazing! I don't think we will ever order pizza ever again. It was soooo easy and quick! In all from beginning to end, it only took 35 minutes to prepare and cook. and that includes both pizzas with separate cooking times.
It got 2 thumbs up from all of us! thats how you know its a keeper!
YUM!

off to relax all of those carbs off hahahaha
night!
