Trip to Florida

We visited my grandparents in Naples, Fl recently. We had such a great time..here are many many pictures to show some of the amazing moments we experienced. Enjoy!

i know i know..im a slacker..

Ok so i know i have been slacking on this blog..but i've been busy!!!
Not only have i been babysitting another almost 2 year old, but i have been super sick...ugh and so has butterbean. but i have a few pictures to tell of my past few weeks so here goes!!

I am due October 19, 2011 with baby number 2!! 

As of today, I am 9 weeks and 4 days!

I am super nervous about telling everyone because of my previous miscarriage but I have a good feeling about this one. Watching it wiggle around in there gives me comfort to know that it's doing well right now. I am sooo in love. It's crazy to feel soo much love for 2 little beings, one of whom I have never seen, out of the womb that is.

My mom didn't get it at first, but after she looked at me and I gave her the look of "duh" she was like "omg!!" 

And today we told my in-laws..with the same shirt. 

My fil had no idea what it meant, lol. My mil started jumping up and down in shock! lol she was a lot happier this time around. lol.

Yay! I can finally talk about it, which I will be journaling here! :)

So that has been my past few weeks..missing a few bits and pieces but really what can you expect from this brain...which is not only fried from a 18 month old sucking the life out of me (literally) but also this little bean! :)

Anyways..good night. I promise to try and keep up with this blog..just may be a few days since I am super busy this week and lacking on lots of sleep!

Week in our lives!

So this week had been interesting to say the least!

Sunday I took Butterbean to the movies to see "Gnomeo and Juliet"

 She did ok for the first hour or so..then it got crazy! She was just really really tired..so we left before the movie ended. She was so tired that she fell asleep before we even left the parking garage!

Then Monday, we went to the Roos'N"More zoo with our friends Leslie and Jasmine! So much fun!

 If  you haven't been there you should definitely go! You can touch or hold every single animal there! EVERY animal! There are camels, otters, lemurs, kangaroos, turtles, monkeys (you can see one on my head top left), all kinds of stuff. From Vegas, it takes about 45 minutes to get there. So worth it!! Exit 90 :)

Tuesday Butterbean had tumbling. Then we came home and had a picnic on the living room floor.
Wednesday Butterbean had a doctors appointment. And then we went to a playdate at the park to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. She fell asleep holding a Trix Rice crispy ball :P

 Thursday we went to another playdate, at one of the mommy's houses. Then we went to STEAK'N'SHAKE!!! Oh I was soooo excited!! They're back home..and they are delicious!!

 And today we didn't really do anything..we went to lunch with daddy and then to Borders because they were going out of business. I finally cleaned for the first time in 2 weeks...being sick sucked.

We also found out some INSANE news this week but I am going to keep it to myself for a little while.
Well I'm off to bed. super tired. byee

Pizza Night!!

Today Butterbean and I spent all day together. watching movies and eating :)

for lunch we both had a turkey and provolone sandwich, blueberries, half an orange, cauliflower and red pepper hummus! mmmmm!! she ate ALL of it!! good girl :)

She is just too cute! We have built a fort every day this week and she just loves it! I do too. It's fun seeing her so excited about something so simple.

Tonight for dinner I made homemade pizza with homemade sauce! 

Absolutely delish!!! mmmmm! We ate every last bit of it!

 

 I found the sauce recipe on Our Best Bites. I have to say that this is the BEST sauce I have EVER had! I am extremely picky about pizza sauce and this has topped all others! I did make a few LITTLE modifications to it but it was simple things like, a little extra or less of something here and there. I highly recommend it!! 

The dough, I'm not quite sure where I found it but it too was amazing! I don't think we will ever order pizza ever again. It was soooo easy and quick! In all from beginning to end, it only took 35 minutes to prepare and cook. and that includes both pizzas with separate cooking times.

 It got 2 thumbs up from all of us! thats how you know its a keeper!

Tumbling!

Today we went to our weekly tumbling class! I finally got to take a few pictures!! So here they are! :)

 and then after class the best buds started holding hands..which was sooo cute! Butterbean seems to hold on very tight tho..probably because I make her squeeze my hand as tight as possible when we walk lol..

Then, Steven and I dropped Butterbean off at Nana's and went to file our taxes..It was our first time doing it at a REAL place..we normally have his sister do it. So we had no idea we needed all of our SSCs. So we drove all the way home only to find out we didn't have Steven's so we had to drive all the way to his mom's to get it..very long day!! 

Needless to say I am very exhausted! haha! dishes need to be done but they will wait til tomorrow!

Night! 

busy busy busy

Yesterday, Butterbean went to tumbling! It was a lot better than last time. She went on the balance beam pretty well and also bounced on the trampoline. She is getting used to doing back flips and somersaults too. Of course I didn't take any pictures. It's too hard while trying to do all of the stuff with her. Afterwards, we went to the park with our very good friends Leslie and her daughter Lo, who is a week older than Butterbean. They had a great time!

Afterwards, she fell fast asleep on the drive home..she was completely knocked out. so much so that I actually took her out of the car and got her to her bed, took off her shoes and jacket without waking her up. That hasn't happened in a very long time haha..

She is so cute..especially when she's sleeping :) she just looks so peaceful 

  

Then today Butterbean had her first dentist appointment. When she first started getting teeth, I asked my dentist when I should start taking her in to see a dentist. He said around the time she starts school, which to me seems like a really long time from now. And considering she has A LOT of teeth, 14 to be exact, I thought I should probably take her, especially since one of her teeth, top left molar, is not coming in right. At least I thought. When that tooth first came in, it looked completely normal, and then a week later another tooth came in right next to it, on the out side of her tooth. It freaked me out a little so I immediately made an appointment for her. It seemed to be kind of painful for her as well. So that was for today. Her dentist examined it, while Butterbean screamed uncontrollably, and told me that it is just another cusp-us of her tooth. She said it's rare and they don't know why that happens but nothing to worry about. So thats good!

 She goes back in 6 months for another exam. 

 Other than that we haven't done too much today. She took a good nap after the dentist which was nice. The we woke up Steven and all watched Toy Story 3 together. I swear Toy Story movies are the only movies we watch anymore. We, especially Butterbean, love them! They are so cute and so funny!

 Tonight was a little rough on both her and I tho. Her dentist told me I should stop nursing all night because of the milk sitting on her teeth can cause cavities. So tonight, I nursed her briefly while reading her night time books and then I layed her in bed WITHOUT nursing [normally I nurse her in her bed but I really do need to stop that.] She cried for about 15 minutes before I went in there and nursed her for a minute and then left, once again she cried but finally fell asleep. I hate letting her cry like that but I know she isn't hurt, she just wants to nurse. And since she ate a very big dinner I know she wasn't hungry just needing to be comforted to sleep like usual. It went well, I just hope it goes ok through out the night. She will be waking up in about 2 hours and I don't quite know what I'm going to do yet. hmm.

Anyways, I'm going to go relax before that. Good night! 

Bears vs. Packers

So this is the biggest game of the season so far and the biggest rival game in NFL history! Last time the Bears and Packers played this important of a game was in 1941!! So here we go BEARS!! Let's own them!!! It's 5 minutes to kick-off!! Oh this is going to be an interesting game!!!

Bears lost :( no superbowl for us...such a devastating day for Bears fans..
and to top it off the Steelers are going to the Superbowl as well.. So this year I will not be watching..thats for sure. I am extremely angry and that is all I have left to say..

Farmer's Market

So today I did NOT get done all that I wanted or needed to. It seems like the time just flies by. Butterbean slept way longer than she normally does which really screwed my day up..why is it that when you have plans they feel the need to catch up on sleep but any other day its a 30 minute nap?! Anyways, so when she FINALLY woke up we all ate lunch together [which never happens] then took a little trip to the park and farmer's market! We got some yummy stuff, dried fruits, a huge bag of delicious oranges and some pistachios! It's just a small little farmers market but everyone is very friendly! Today was a beautiful day so it was nice to walk around and play with the babe.

 Iswear she was swinging for a good 15 minutes. She usually only lasts about 5 or so before she is "alllll" [all done]

For dinner, I made spaghetti. Nothing special..just a jar of prego and noodles! She loved it which isn't unusual. Normally I give her penne or something but tonight she actually ate spaghetti noodles. She loved them!

After dinner, she gets a bath every night. 1] she is usually REALLY messy from dinner as you can clearly tell and 2] it seems to sooth her before bed. Tonight she wasn't really into the whole going to bed thing but she did..after fighting me for 30 minutes...this was before bed [obviously]

 

She is too cute! Now it is time for me to hit the hay as well! Good night!
